Alicia's Story :

I never much thought of myself as heavy. I knew that I was not thin, but I never saw my self as heavy. That was until I was 23 years old, and saw a picture of myself. I could not believe what I was looking at. How was that person in the picture me? How did I get to that size? I was humiliated, and sad. I spent the next 5 years of my life avoiding pictures. I hid from the idea of family pictures, and any camera for that matter. I spent those next 5 years of my life not only avoiding pictures, but avoiding functions where I would have to dress up, parties, life. Summer was my least favorite season, I was the one at the beach in jeans and a long sleeve shirt because I could not stand the way I looked. In my mind, I knew I needed a change, I knew my health was suffering.

I had a physical in May 2010. My doctor called me in when my blood work came in and said to me “Alicia, you’re going to need to drop a few pounds, your cholesterol is out of control”
I weighed 220, my body fat was 47 %, and my cholesterol was at 240, total.
I felt like I had NO options. I had tried every single weight loss program available, with NO success. I would never lose more than 10 pounds without giving up.

That was 5 months ago, 62 pounds ago, 6 pant sizes ago.

I started The Hooper Clinic weight management program in June. Immediately I felt the difference. I had more energy, I had no cravings, and within the first month, I had dropped 20 POUNDS!! I started the program at 220 pounds, and now in October 2010, same year, and only a little less than 5 months later I weigh 158, wear a size 10 pants, from a size 16, and my cholesterol is down to a normal range. My body fat has also gone down to 34%! I am on my way there, closer to my goal. I have never felt better, and never looked so good. This is the ONLY program that has ever worked for me. I owe all my success to the support of Dr. Greg Hooper, and his team. I have learned how to win this battle. I am doing amazing, and still going strong!
